UNBOXING + STYLING | Concepts x Converse Southern Flame

Hey hi helloooo. In this video, we unbox, try-on, and style Concepts and Converse's latest collab, the Chuck 70 "Southern Flame." This sneaker pays tribute to basketball's 130-year history, honoring both the man who invented the sport and the story behind its inception. For those who don't know, basketball was created in 1891 by Dr. James Naismith at a YMCA in Springfield, MA. Among his original 13 rules of the game was that teams scored by throwing a ball into baskets, which at the time were initially used to store peaches-- the fuzzy fruit from which this legacy sneaker takes its design cues.
